Game Review: Ultima VII

Chapter 5

In our last episode The Avatar was dealing with a seemingly invulnerable dragon who had a kink for letting people grab things out of her mouth…..man this shit is getting weird.

I do have to ponder why a really powerful blind old mage needs a sword of great power in the first place, but it’s probably better not to ask questions.

You’re going to release a woman?

Cool! If I could summon junk like this I could give up this silly avataring business.

Yeah, but I won’t need those kinda of tools unless I want to take up being a pretty girl, though I do have blond flowing locks of wondrous hair.

This is fun!

Will you be here all week?

Now I can add blacksmithing to my extremely long resume of shit I’ve had to do whilst being an avatar.

Inside the crumbling castle scene the magic smithy stands,

The Smith an angry man is he, who conquers all the land!

Kinda like how when your underwear doesn’t sit quite right.

Great! I did all this for NOTHING!!

I know a source of magic, a source of very angry demonic magic that’s just dying to get out.

Sure, whatever you say….sucker…

Oh well excuse me I didn’t have time to brush up on “breaking magic mirrors with demons trapped inside of them” 101.

7 years bad luck, for the rest of Britannia.

Wait for it….

HAHA! YHBT!

I just live for these moments!

I think you and my sword blank need to get together.

I love creating weapons of mass destruction.

I HAVE THE POWER!

Let’s start with the dragon and work our way from there.

Good, now shutup.

Alright, let’s go slay us a dragon.

Dispose of this rubbish for me!

Will you two stop talking so I can kill you?

About freaking time.

Hooray for me!

Or maybe just someone really hopped up on PCP.

GET ON WITH IT!

Now where have I seen lenses like those before?

That’s a lot cooler than burning ants.

Damn it!

It slices! it dices! It even knows how to open portals to the void!

Gee, is that all?

Awesome! I get to heist the museum!

And really all this shit is mine anyway so….

And as long as I’m here….

Oh what? You knew I was going to take everything!

Let’s get this in the can, or void.

Ohhhh shit!

Hey I don’t think you’re suppose to do that.

Ha ha! Not so smart now, are ya?

Wow! You found a brain!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention it earlier, the keyring mod adds shrine quests.

Not really, but I guess I will anyway.

This better be good.

At least all the deeds I allow to circulate.

Now here’s another thing I don’t get, if LB is so goddamned omnipotent and can just give people super power all willy nilly then why the hell didn’t he just do that for me in the first place, would have made getting rid of the dark core a lot easier.

But I digress…back to the shrine quest.

IF YOU KNOW IT ALL THEN WHY DON’T YOU BE THE FUCKING AVATAR?!!

I’m sure this is worth all the effort it took to get it working.

……

Yeah, I think we’re just gonna skip the rest of those quests.
